Deepali Darshika is a 22-year-old law student currently studying at Fiji National University.

From an early age, Ms Darshika, wanted to achieve her goals and make a difference in the world around her.

She is the director of Crown Tech, a company that specialises in technological advancements.

Crown Tech has developed two products: Socio App and Socio Connect.

These platforms have gained significant popularity due to their user-friendly interfaces and convenient features.

Business ownership runs in Ms Darshika’s family, as her parents are also successful entrepreneurs.

She said: “Their determination and entrepreneurial spirit have always inspired me to pursue my own dreams and create a positive impact on society.”

Ms Darshika attended Yat Sen Primary and Secondary School, where she gained a strong foundation in academics and personal development.

The 22-year-old is also handling social media marketing for a high-end restaurant in Suva.

“Utilising my knowledge and skills in digital marketing, I strive to enhance the restaurant’s online presence and engage with customers in meaningful ways,” Ms Darshika said.

“Overall, my diverse experiences as a law student, director of a tech company, and social media marketer have allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of the business world.

“I am passionate about leveraging technology and my legal education to contribute towards the betterment of society.”

Ms Darshika lives in Suva and said she is proud of the city she was born in and the vibrant culture it holds.

SunBiz spoke with the young entrepreneur to learn about her life, business, and her go-to local spots for food, leisure, and travel.

What do you enjoy about being a tech entrepreneur?
I enjoy making business information more accessible to customers as I have struggled a lot as a consumer from being a shopaholic and foodie.

It’s so hard to find an updated menu, real-time photos of foods or products available at stores or special deals. With my products, it makes it easy for people like me out there.

What are your go-to places to eat a delicious meal and to unwind?
My new favourite places to eat and unwind are Paradiso Restaurant & Bar, Rudy’s Italian Trattoria & Grill, and the cinemas.
They have delicious food, desserts, and cocktails and the ambience is so peaceful. I also love watching movies because it makes me relaxed.

Where do you take friends and families for the local food experience?
My friends and family love home-cooked meals, so we prefer to get fresh local produce from the Suva Market and cook meals together.

What are your top bucket list destinations in Fiji?
My top local bucket list destinations would be Savusavu and Taveuni as they are so beautiful. I would love to vacation there.

What makes Fiji such an ideal destination in the Pacific for travel and to do business?
What makes Fiji an ideal destination for business and travel is the culture, beaches, nature, and the natural beauty it holds.
In addition to that, it is the friendly people and the multicultural traditional delicacies.
Fiji is also progressing from the traditional business mindset to a more modern business mindset and is trying to adapt to the ever-changing digital landscape in modern tech.
