One resident, Tofaga Hicks said she had a nine-month-old baby and needed to do laundry regularly. Ms Hicks said it had been three weeks since they last had continuous water supply.
“It is very frustrating for us to do our house work when we do not have water at homes. It is even more difficult to do any cooking.
“We even lucky to have collected some rain water but now we have run out of that as well. I have my laundry piling up and to top that, we do not have enough water for showers,” Ms Hicks said.
She also expressed her disappointment at the lack of carting trucks in the area.
Another resident, Veremo Cauvarua said his family had decided to move to a better location where water would not be a problem. Mr Cauvarua said continuous water disruptions were not an easy thing to live with.
“Water is life and without this basic necessity we cannot go on with our daily chores.
Divisional Engineer Water Sereicocoko Yanuyanurua said there was no need to cart water to Veisari, as they had not received any complaints.
Mr Yanuyanurua added they would look into the allegations when they receive any further information.
