Written By : General Editor. The excuse given by the interim Defence Minister on why he took his family members on a government-paid trip to Lau is just unacceptable.
What he has done is take advantage of a trip paid for by taxpayers to take his family members so that they can meet their relatives in the islands. It goes against the very principle of accountability and transparency this regime had been harping about since it took over the reins of power.
It just makes one wonder what elese have the taxpayers missed since December 5 2006 as regards the misuse of public funds.
It does not look good at all.
