Written By : RITESH KUMAR . Samoa will play a physical game against Flying Fijians in the opening match of the IRB Pacific Nations Cup tomorrow.
“We will play physical upfront in order to beat the Flying Fijians,” said Manu Samoa coach Niko Palamo.
“We have experienced players in the forwards like of Mahonri Schwalger, Census Johnston, Filipo Levi and Evile Telea.
“Players need to maintain possession upfront and the kickoffs to upset Flying Fijians.
“Flying Fijians retained experienced players from the RWC like Ifereimi Rawaqa, Kele Leawere and Semisi Naevo in the forwards.
“South Africa’s Rugby World Cup winning coach Jake White has helped the players in training.
“White and Eddie Jones provided technical assistance to our players and we are happy with their assistance.
“Our main priority is to give exposure to our young players. Most of the players have played for the Upolu Samoa in the Pacific Rugby Cup.
“We are preparing a team for the 2011 RWC and we are confident the young players will prove their worth in the PNC,” added Palamo.
