Netball Fiji has yet to work out the contract of the new national netball coach, Melissa Walker NF secretary Tupou Lemeki says it is unknown as to how long Melissa’s contract would be for but she has been given the green light to coach the national team and help the Under 21 for the World Junior Championships.
“NF is still currently working on details for Walker and cannot release any information at present,” Tupou Lemeki said.
Walker was selected after top contender, Francis Granger withdrew.
“We still negotiating details of her contract with her and any extension of her contract will depend on her meeting certain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which will be outlined clearly in her contract.”
Also unknown is the time Walker would take up her new post.
Tupou said Walker would also work with U21 players which they have identified and she is hoping this would be in June.
However, Tupou could not release any names of players until NF confirms all the names. The Junior Championship would be held in Cook Islands.
Meanwhile, NF is looking forward to another MH Tour which starts today in Suva.
