Written By : Shalina Sharma Lautoka. How can we live this life which is so complex and woven together in such a magnificent way and yet credit it to mere science and evolution ?
In the case of ‘Dolly’ and several others before her who are “supposedly”cloned? None of these animals had a normal life.
They suffered several hardships including coming into this world still-born, malformed, a damaged immune system which meant vulnerability to infection. They thus developed cancer, lung disease, pneumonia, liver failure, arthritis and premature ageing and premature death.
All these are indications that we are treading on dangerous ground if not tresspassing, so to speak.
Not to forget, there was “never”any hard evidence that these animals were actually cloned. Why when this would have been the scientific milestone achievement of human history ?
All said and done, if the fact remains that animals have been successfully cloned and have lived on this earth (irrespective of how long their life lasted), then I am just as baffled as anyone else and seek an answer. There is one thing I do know and this is that no living being can exist on this earth without a soul.
