Written By : Ratu Jona Saukuru Nadi. It is a blessing in disguise that Rajendra Chaudhry had to experience the FICAC ordeal.
According to him it was stirred up by the media, justifying his outbursts to being falsely charged, as he said in his apology correspondence to the interim prime minister. It proves the common belief, sometimes amiss in the current judiciary, of a man perceived innocent until proven guilty. All civilians charged by FICAC should be perceived innocent for this matter. In the high court however, who do we see as Chief Justice, Gates or Fatiaki? I would put my vote for Justice Fatiaki. Taking discussions further, who do we see as prime minister? I would like to think neither, but for the sake of the Chaudhry outburst, we will have to agree it’s Qarase until proven otherwise.
