Only Fijian students are allowed to wear sulu. This is such a racist policy.
I think by doing this the school is creating a racial divide amongt the races of Fiji and is not helping nation building and reconciliation.
The interim government is fighting against this very issue of equal rights to all races. It is very important that schools encourage children from a very young age to foster good relationships. There no better place to learn this then at home and in school.
It’s time the school changes its old policy which has no place in Fiji.
If the school has a very good reason for its ridiculous policy, then it should come out with the truth otherwise it should make amends.
It owes an apology to the student it has caused so much stress to and to the nation as a whole.
