Written By : Lawrence Narayan Suva . As Christians we are to love everyone even those who are against us. Therefore, Utiko Nabunobuno (FS 27/6) can be rest assured that I have nothing personal against him.
However I will stand for biblical truth when it comes to Bible doctrines and continue to lead people to Christ without placing the bondage of slavery on them (Gal 5: 1-10) as I have been doing for the past 20 years. .
Mr Nabunobuno should know that when someone decides to follow Christ one cannot continue to cling on to one’s race and family members and if necessary may have to break the relationship even with one’s parents (Matt 10:36-37). Many years ago, I had to make that difficult decision myself since I was born in a non-Christian home.
Christians also have no part in politics or side with race-based issues but instead should make every effort to show their people the way to Christ and His kingdom. .
Perhaps Mr Nabunobuno as a Christian may like to reconsider his new-found hobby in criticiing political regimes to something more constructive and relevant by taking up the cross and being part of the Great Commission of Christ for all races.
