Written By : Joe Gonewai. I wish to respond to Akuila Yabaki’s comment (16/7 during his presentation at the Fiji Law Society conference.
His insinuation that the overseas countries knew that we cannot live with other races need to be proven or justified with the confirmation from these so called countries.
These are the comments that continue to be propagated by the sympathiser of the December 2006 event that have no grounds or evidence to prove otherwise.
The only thing that the overseas countries now believe is that opportunists such as Yabaki, Dakuvula, Swamy, Serulagilagi, Tabakaucoro, Nawalowalo and the election losers including Ganilau, Ricketts and others have greatly benefited contrary to their initial pledge.
They have caused great misery, job losses, business bankruptcy, economic hardship and mass migration of skilled personnel.
The only countries that support Yabaki’s views could be those with suspected human rights infringements and extremist views that the interim regime has strengthened relationships with such as China, Chile, Venezuela, India and so forth.
The best thing for Yabaki and his cronies is to stop these false prophets’ sermons and fairytales but vigorously promote the constitutional rule of law instead of providing justification for the illegal regime.
