Written By : SHARATIKA NAIDU. Police, yesterday discovered what is believed to be marijuana farms in Labasa and Navosa.
Head of Fiji Police Force Drug Unit, Assistant Superintendent (ASP), Sakeo Ganivatu, said the two cases were reported yesterday.
“We received information from our field officers that there were two marijuana farms discovered. One in Labasa and one at Navosa,” said Mr Ganivatu.
He said 13 plants believed to be marijuana, were uprooted at Labasa.
The farm owner was also arrested while his counterpart from Vatubalavu Village in Navosa is still at large.
“There were 185 marijuana plants found at Vatubalavu Village in Navosa.
They ranged from one to two metres in height,” he added.
Police continue investigations.
