As part of the team effort of the Nausori High Community, the teachers and the students, the F4 Hall got a new facelift and was newly painted.
This has been made possible by the efforts of the students and teachers of the school.
To make this a reality, the Nausori High community, management, staff and students of the school had organised a 7-a-side soccer tournament to fundraise for this special project.

Ceiling Fans In All Classrooms
This year also saw the installation of ceiling fans in all classrooms as part of giving comfort and contentment to the students because NHS believes in student centered approach whereby our destination are the students of the school.
Ablution Block
On the 30th of October 2009, the school was officially handed over the ablution block by the Ministry of Multi ethnic affairs. This will enhance sanitation and hygiene of female students and staff.

Newspaper Design Competition
The school participated in the Newspaper Design competition that was organised by a local media.
The students and teachers worked tirelessly in order to produce their own school newspaper titled “The Nausorian Times”.
This gave an opportunity for the students to learn journalism and newspaper design techniques which they can use in future.

Safe Motherhood Oratory Contest
Nausori High School scooped the 2nd prize in the Safe Motherhood Initiative Oratory Contest organised by the Ministry of Health on the 23rd of October 2009 at Dilkusha Girls School.
This is a big achievement for a small school like Nausori High School which has come out and defeated bigger schools in the district. This has been an initiative and effort of the Language department of the school.
The Orator Misila Tanoa of Form 501 is delighted to have won this oratory contest since this is the first time that she has participated in an oratory contest and the reward is overwhelming.
She has won herself an account at Westpac Bank amounting to $30, Certificate of Achievement and other assorted prizes from various sponsors.
She was invited to the award function at National Gymnasium where the she spoke in front of the Minister for Health and other invited guests at the function.
Principal Premila Kumar says that ‘achievements at Nausori High is based on the theme for the year which is “Striving for Holistic Development”.
