The school’s multi-purpose hall was filled to capacity by students, parents, teachers, friends and relatives to witness the presentation of certificates and awards for the Year 6 to Year 12 students.
Year 6 students shared their experience in high school.
Litia Baleilevuka gave a class speech and highlighted changes they faced when joining high school.
She said they had to leave behind the relaxed attitude of primary school as high school demanded better time and resource management.
She also shared how they managed to create a spaceship- which now hangs proudly in their classroom.
Year 7 students, upon receiving their wards for successfully completing the year, also highlighted their achievement as a class.
They paid tribute to their classmates who left them during the year.
The school caters for children of expatriates who are working in the country.
Year 8 class captain, Shamit Patel, thanked the school for a year of achievement and also the class for their contribution.
Members of the class represented the school in national competitions, while some even represented the country internationally.
Students received academic excellence awards in English, French, Chinese, Drama, Music, Information Technology, Maths and English.
Some students also received awards for community service.
It was a proud night for students and a sad one too for those who were leaving the school for good.
Year 12 students were farewelled by the school and thanked for their contribution.
A slideshow of the year’s activities was screened during the prize-giving ceremony, portraying the school’s highlights for the year.
