Written By : PETER LOMAS. The Hong Kong Summer Spectacular (June 11 –– August 31) is organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board and packed with scorching action, cool attractions, great events plus a host of sensational shop and dine offers.
The festivities commence in June at the city’s popular attractions including Disneyland, Wetland Park and Ocean Park.
In July, the action shifts to East Tsim Sha Tsui for the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival (July 23 –– 25).
It’s three days of marvellous entertainment in a carnival atmosphere on land, while on the water, the world’s best compete in the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races.
The ‘Summer Pop –– Live in Hong Kong’ concert (August 27 – 29) at the Hong Kong Coliseum features leading artists and groups.
This summer of fun also has sales in all the major shopping precincts plus dining specials.
