The urn – which is believed to be the source of The Undertaker’s true power – appeared to have revived the seven-time world champion.
A revival that saw Kane stricken with fear – It seemed his 13-year quest to destroy his brother would come to an abrupt and unsuccessful end at Sunday’s Hell in a Cell event. However, Bearer had a quest of his own, making his motivations clear when his treachery secured a tainted victory for “The Devil’s Favourite Demon”.
After shocking interference from two WWE fans, John Cena lost to Wade Barrett, which means on Monday Night, the Raw Superstar must join The Nexus!
Celebrated
Cena was a mere STF away from victory when two mystery assailants stormed the ring – one distracting the referee while the other blasted Cena in the head with appeared to be a steel pipe, knocking him out cold and giving Barrett the win in the biggest match of his career. After The Nexus celebrated their huge victory, a broken and dejected Cena staggered towards the back as fans looked on in shock and disappointment.
In a brutal Hell in a Cell Match, WWE champion Randy Orton retained his title against Sheamus.
The Celtic Warrior battled relentlessly for the chance to regain the title. But an RKO on the steel ring steps in the middle of the ring was more than enough to see The Viper succeed.
Daniel Bryan kicked off Hell in a Cell by defeating The Miz and John Morrison in a thrilling Triple Threat Submissions Count Anywhere Match.
Bryan proved he was very much a worthy champion after all when he forced The Miz to tap out to the devastating LeBell Lock.
In Divas action, the self-professed “co-Unified Divas Champions” Lay-Cool avoided defeat when Layla intentionally got Michelle McCool disqualified in order to retain her title against The Hart Dynasty’s Natalya.
Also at Hell in a Cell, Edge continued his battle to rid the WWE of “stupidity,” by humiliating Alberto Del Rio and then defeating Jack Swagger.
