image Written By : JAMES COYLE Sky Sports. After their respective team members battled it out at the start of the night in a series of matches, SmackDown’s main event featured a bout between team Captains Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio.
But before a winner could be determined, the match ended when Team Del Rio charged the ring and assaulted Mysterio. Just seconds later, Team Mysterio came to its captain’s aid and fended off the assailants.
Bringing a halt to the chaos, SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long declared the action should continue but in an official 10-Man Survivor Series Showdown Battle Royal.
After a battle of epic proportions, Team Del Rio’s Jack Swagger found himself battling big odds against Big Show and Rey Mysterio. After Mysterio blasted The All-American American with a 619, Big Show pushed Swagger over the top rope for the victory.
Will Team Mysterio carry their momentum on to Survivor Series and succeed against Team Del Rio?

Helpless
Throughout SmackDown, Edge followed up one diabolical act after another toward a helpless Paul Bearer, a series of acts which clearly got inside the head of World Heavyweight Champion Kane.
The Ultimate Opportunist is only too aware that Kane is unstoppable at the moment, so by going after the only person that Kane actually cares about, Edge appears to be gaining a psychological advantage over his much larger and stronger opponent.
Can Edge reclaim the “holy grail” from Kane at WWE’s second longest-running pay-per-view?

Victory
Elsewhere, Kaval chalked up the biggest victory of his career when he pinned Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.
After his first win on SmackDown, Kaval reminded everyone that as the season two winner of WWE NXT, he is due a championship match – and he wants it this Sunday Night at Survivor Series against Ziggler.
In other news, WWE released a statement on it’s official website stating it has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstars Shad Gaspard, Luke Gallows, Vance Archer and Caylen Croft and WWE Divas Tiffany and Jillian Hall.

Survivor series
One of WWE’s flagship pay-per-view events Survivor Series will get under way in a matter of hours and this particular show is all about the fate of WWE’s golden boy John Cena.
Cena finds himself in a no-win situation that will either provide us with a new WWE champion in Nexus leader Wade Barrett, or the end of John Cena’s career. So, what decision will Cena opt to take on Sunday?
Personally, I cannot envisage Randy Orton losing out to Wade Barrett in singles competition. However, I do not subscribe to the view that John Cena will count to three should Orton pin Barrett’s shoulders to the mat.
Wade Barrett becoming our new WWE Champion appears to be the only logical outcome here, and it’s an outcome that’s very difficult to oppose.
