National rep Vikrant Chandra won the Ba Open over the weekend.
The Ba native is the first golfer to score a under par 137 in the two day event.
Nadi golfer Amitesh Chandra was runner up after scoring 72 and 73 respectively (145). Overall nett winner was Shakil Singh with a score of 126.
“There was a protest in technical issue, but I have declared Vikrant as the winner,” said Ba Golf captain Monish Patel.
“The competition attracted 60 golfers and the course was in perfect condition. And for the first time in the history of the club, someone has scored one under par in the two-day event.”
Some golfers protested that Chandra used a devise known as distance finder.
RC Manubhai has been sponsoring the event for the last 42 years.
