Digicel Fiji announced its support for the Marist Old Boys’ (MOB) annual MoBULAise programme with a cash and kind sponsorship worth $50,000.
The MoBULAise programme sees former students of the renowned institution congregate in Fiji from all over the world to participate in the three-day event commencing on October 11.
The sponsorship will be used by the Marist Old Boys (MOB) to hold its various programmes all over the country.
MoBULAise 2012 will be held together with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Marist Brothers High School, which will kick-start the MoBULAise event in Lautoka and end on October 20 in Suva. The chief executive officer of Digicel Fiji, David Butler, said this partnership was in line with the company’s commitment towards community- driven events.
“We are excited that the MoBULAise programme will enhance the education support system of Marist Brothers High School, one of the country’s most well-known institutions,” Mr Butler said.
The chairperson of MoBULAise, John Grey, said the sponsorship had greatly assisted in creating a strong partnership between MOB and the school.
“The sponsorship will help achieve their ultimate objective, which is to have a long-term growth in Marist education and its infrastructure.”
“The MoBULAise initiative by the Marist Old Boys (MOB) is to create a new and dynamic entity to launch Marist education into the future, using the MOB and its corporate partners like Digicel to influence growth,” Mr Grey said.
