Semi Qarau
Nabua

I write in reply to the letter that was published in the Fiji Sun (28/9) by Mr Ramoce on the types of force that was applied to the escape prisoners. Less force simply means a minimum force applied with no harm.
Reasonable force is a force applied with reasonable means to level the weight of resistance exposed by the resisting party.
This will surely result in minor injuries if the other party resisted arrest and armed with offensive weapons.
Excessive force is actively used when the resisting party acted violently to overcome arrest using offensive weapons.
This may result in serious injuries and even fatality.
I agree with the Police boss, during his interview with FBC News 27/9, that he will stand by his men come what may. That is leadership.
