Two France-based players have turned down the offer from Flying Fijians head coach Inoke Male to be part of the Europe tour next month.
Noa Nakaitaci and Vereimi Vakatawa are committed to their respective clubs in the Top 14 competition.
Vakatawa plays for Racing Metro while Noa Nakaitaci features for ASM Clermont.
Fiji Rugby Union coaching director Franck Boivert says their unavailability is unfortunate.
Fiji plays England on November 10, Gloucester on November 13, Ireland Wolfhounds on November 17 and Georgia on November 24.
“It is disappointing that two of our young players have turned down the offer,” Boivert said.
Apart from the duo, some Flying Fijians squad members will not be able to make it to the training camp here at home prior to the game against England.
Boivert said the Europe-based reps would get their release a few days before the test against England.
“No one is flying down from Europe as they cannot be released by their clubs until the Monday before the England test,” Boivert said.
Only players playing in Australia and New Zealand will be in camp from next week.
In addition, with the new laws implemented by the International Rugby Board, Boivert said local players would be the ones new to the law.
“It’s a shame that rules are not used in the Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy challenge.”
