Tavua Football Association is not happy with the proposal by the Fiji Football Association to limit eight teams in the National Football League competition which begins in December.
Tavua FA acting president Shailesh Kumar is requesting the Fiji FA not to implement the proposal.
“We are not happy with the proposal and we are requesting the Fiji FA to consider it in 2013-2014 NFL season,” Kumar said.
Tavua finished in 9th position in the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League competition this season and the side will be demoted with Savusavu should the Fiji FA approved, the proposed NFL structure during their annual congress in Ba next week.
NFL secretary Jainendra Sukhu said the annual congress would make the final decision.
