The Flying Fijians squad preparing for the Northern Tour next month had their first training session yesterday.
Head Coach Inoke Male said there is a lot of work to be done.
“We had our first training session with a beep test in the morning and skills test later on,” Male said.
“Some of the players are still carrying niggling injuries from the provincial rugby competition and after the two tests today, I found out that there is a lot of work to be done.
“We need to work on the fitness, skills level before our tour next month.”
Male also confirmed robust Nadroga flanker Iliesa Ratuva would join camp next week due to family commitments.
“Overseas players will arrive on Saturday.
“We have one month to prepare and need to make use of it.”
The Flying Fijians plays England on November 10, Gloucester on November 13, Ireland A on November 17 and Georgia on November 24.
