A trial at the Suva Magistrates Court was vacated yesterday because the Chief Magistrate was away in Singapore.
Jonetani Sereka, 20, is being charged with one count of robbery. He denies the charge.
Sereka’s trial was scheduled to begin yesterday before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili.
It is alleged that Sereka, on June 1, 2011 robbed Mohammed Ali, 20, while Ali was waiting for a bus at the bus stop next to the Nabua Secondary School. Sereka allegedly made away with Ali’s wallet and $126 cash. Sereka denies the charge.
The case was adjourned to November 5 for mention to fix a trial date.
