TOWER Insurance customers will now be able to call the company using their newly-acquired mobile short codes that were launched in Suva yesterday.
The insurance company has become the latest to sign up for mobile short codes which allows their customers to communicate at a cheap rate via making calls using mobile phones.
Suva customers can now call 5496 and 5497 while those customers in the West can contact the Nadi office on 5498 for any queries or business they may have.
The short codes replace the seven digit landline number to an easy-to-remember four digit code.
The service would be available to Vodafone and Inkk users and would be charged at normal mobile to mobile rates at 22 cents per unit peak period.
NewNet Limited has, over the few years of their existence, set up short codes for numerous other companies; Home Finance Company Limited (HFC) for example.
TOWER Insurance general manager, Paul Absell, said: “We are delighted to yet again enhance our services using the latest mobile technology to ensure that our customers’ needs are continuously met.
“Today is another milestone in our journey to continuously find ways to put our customers first.”
Mr Absell acknowledged the team at NewNet Limited and Vodafone Fiji for their assistance with the installation and training of the company’s mobile short code.
