Some the say the state of poverty is affecting peoples budgets and spending significantly but this is not always the case. One only has to reflect on the amount of spending at the recent Hibiscus Festival.
Also the amount of spending that takes place at night clubs from happy hour till the early hours of the next morning. In downtown Suva there are many individuals visiting offices every days selling all kinds of food. Perhaps poverty is defined by attitudes and peoples choices. One individual’s poverty is not always another individual’s poverty.
