Waisale Ramoce
Suva

Monday (01/10) was marked as Senior Citizen’s Day all over the world by the United Nations.
In Fiji  there were celebrations in Suva and in other places to mark the greater contributions of these important people in our communities.
Fiji, should be no exception to other countries in treating  our elderly and senior citizens with greater respect and love. I wonder whether we continue to remember the greater contributions they have done for our country?
At one stage in life this was a group of people who contributed so much to the social, political, economical facets of this country.  Today we still value their insights; they talk with so much passion about their experience, with so much fervor about their contribution and of course with a lot of wisdom. We salute the elderly and senior citizens of Fiji.
Your contributions to this country should always be acknowledged with love.
