Jacks of Fiji proudly joined yesterday’s pre-Fiji Day frenzy and took to the streets of their respective locations around the country to sing the national anthem.
Tourists and families in main street Nadi were brought to attention when staff from of Jacks of Fiji Nadi Town belted out a few renditions of the national anthem and waved flags in commemoration of Fiji’s 42nd year of Independence.
Jacks of Fiji human resources training manager Altaab Khan said it was an annual practice to share their national pride and to give their show of support for Fiji Day.
‘’This is our annual event where we prepare our staff members to practice the national anthem and sing it with a lot of pride before and during Fiji Day,” Mr Khan said.
“Our staff members were encouraged to come dressed in their Fiji Day outfits, which they did with a lot of pride.
Since we promote tourism and are ambassadors, we wanted to show our pride for our country and it was a great team bonding activity that brought everybody together.
“It inspired members of the public and tourists,’’ he said.
