Knowledge is now the main driver of development and the Northern Division is looking for new ideas and innovation to transform natural resources into commercial opportunities.
Speaking at the 42nd Fiji Day celebrations in Labasa, director of University of the South Pacific, Labasa Campus, Dr. Samuela Bogitini, said we needed to work together in the spirit of goodwill, understanding and respect using Government instruments based on appropriate and relevant legislation.
Dignatories, students and parents crowded the Labasa Subrail Park to witness the celebrations with entertainment from the Nabala Marching Band and cultural items from the Labasa schools.
The theme ‘Celebrating a united Fiji’, portrays a message of reconciliation, understanding, perseverance and unity for nation building.
