Nigerian  Sanni Issa scored twice for Pacific Finance Suva side as they defeated Nadi 2-0  at Govind Park yesterday.
The jetsetter started strongly in the first half seeing veteran striker Veresa Toma having a lot of scoring opportunities. But he failed due to the organsise defence put up by the heavy back division.
Pacific Finance Suva Coach Gurjit Singh said beating Nadi was a good start for them.
“We have never beaten Nadi and tonight we scored two goals,”Sngh said.
“This is a good record for Suva and I want to thank the boys for a good performance.
“They played a good tactical game and we will treat each and every game as a final.”
The Men in White entered the field in the second half on a high    with Issa scoring the first goal in the 46th minute and  second in the 53rd minute. Fulltime: Suva 2 Nadi 0.
Nadi Coach Kamal Swamy said their backline created blunders.
“Both the Suva goals were scored because of the blunder in  our backline. We lost focus and were unlucky.
“Now we have reminded the players to stay focus and try to concentrate for our next game,” Swammy said.
Nadi will play Savusavu at 5:15pm while Suva will take on Ba in the feature match at 8pm tonight.
“We respect Ba and we are all looking forward to our game against Ba,” the Suva coach said.
