Sireli Ledua is back in the Flying Fijians fold when he was included by head coach Inoke Male in the Fiji Warriors team for the Pacific Rugby Cup in Tonga.
Ledua came back from China and was in time to play for Digicel Cup games and the Farebrother- Sullivan Trophy challenge for Northland.
Ledua said he lost hope after seeing that his name was missed out from the Europe Tour extended squad.
“My biggest aim is to play for the Flying Fijians,”Ledua said.
“I’ve missed out many times and I know my chance of making the team was slim because I had missed out a lot in the season.
“I went to study for a Diploma in Sports and Physical Education in Guangzhou, China earlier in the year and when I came back I played only two games for Northland.
“But making the Fiji Warriors has brought back hope for me.”
He played rugby league for Nabua Broncos and was grateful to Fiji Rugby Union coaching director Franck Boivert who convinced him to switch codes.
Ledua will leave with the Fiji team on Saturday for Nuku’alofa, Tonga before the PRC begins on October 15.
