Adi Kulamailagi Tabete, the Fiji Under-21 National squad member, scooped the Sportswoman of Year Award during the Fijian Community Sports Awards in Auckland last weekend.
Dikula,19,  plays for the Westlake Netball Club in the North Harbour Netball Association in Auckland.
She is currently employed as an apprentice coach for the Netball North Harbour and has worked to promote the sport in the community in North Shore. She has been involved in Fun Ferns programme, School Holiday programmes and Extension Coaching Clinics at the AMI Centre, North Harbour.
The Sportsman of the Year Award was awarded to New Zealand sevens rep Tomasi Cama and former Fiji and Silver Ferns rep Vilimaina Davu was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Adi Kulamailagi started her netball career at the age of nine and played at the National level five years later in Fiji.
When she migrated to Auckland she was selected to represent North Harbour in 2008 to 2012. Her breakthrough to the Regional Level came in 2010 and she has represented the North Region since then. This year she forced her way into the Fiji U21 netball squad who are presently preparing for the 2013 World Youth Cup in Glasgow, Scotland.
