Former Lami striker Inia Boko was the star of his Navua side last night.
This was when he scored their lone goal against Lautoka in the Courts Inter-District Championship in Ba yesterday.
The young and inexperienced Navua side continued its winning streak and is now leading pool one with six points followed by Labasa and Lautoka with three points after the second day.
Lautoka despite having the experiences of Valerio Nawatu and Simione Tamanisau failed to spark and missed many goal scoring opportunities.
Navua goalkeeper Sheik Moshin was also instrumental in the win.
Coach Mohammed Shafeel says toppling one of the giants of Fiji soccer is a great achievement.
They are now looking forward to their remaining game against Tavua.
Lautoka coach Lambert Sarju said that despite having a 70% possession, the side failed to make it count.
“It is a must that we win our two remaining games so we can earn a place in the semifinal.”
