Nadi 2 Savusavu 1
Nadi sealed the win the last minute against Savusavu at Govind Park last night.
Savusavu started off well having the likes of former Labasa and national rep Thomas Vulivuli, Waisale Rasoki and former Navua rep Pene Enerio.
The jetsetters, after the 2-0 loss against Suva on Wednesday, regrouped and came firing back in their second game.
Savusavu played well in the first half but only had themselves seeing Nadi’s striking force coming through and allowed Viliame Toma scoring their first goal in the 26th minute. Halftime: Nadi lead 1-0.
The Northerners lifted momentum in the second half resulting in Roderick Kumar scoring in the 31st minute.
With less than three minutes to play Nadi’s Isoa Ratuva scored their second goal in the 57th minute to seal the win 2-1.
Nadi Coach Kamal Swamy is still not happy with their performance.
“ It’s good we have three points but I’m still not happy with the performance. They are still not playing the way I want them to and there is still a lot of work to do.”
Meanwhile, Savusavu Coach Manoj Lal was impressed with his players.
“This is our first game we are going to go back and regroup,” Lal said.
