Bus operators, LTA talk

Land Transport Authority chief executive officer Naisa Tuinaceva visited the North to have a talanoa session with bus operators, taxi and carrier operators and discuss issues affecting them and also get a feedback on LTA services.
“It was a very transparent and open talanoa session,” Mr Tuinaceva said. The stakeholders had the opportunity to complain about our officers and criticise the work that we do,” he said.
He also stated that the bus operators and taxi associations voiced out their frustrations on the inaction by LTA in cracking down on illegal operators.
“The illegal operators pose the biggest threat to them because they take that piece of cake or money that is rightfully theirs,” he said.
“The talanoa session helps us to listen to their views and how we can put up strategies to assist us in cracking down on illegal operators.”
