The Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji received musical instruments, Ramayanas  and various  religious texts from the High Commission of India last week.
The donation ceremony was held at the Sanatan Fiji’s headquarters in Suva by the High Commissioner of India to Fiji, Mr Vinod Kumar and the director of the Indian Cultural Centre Dr Kamal Kishore Mishra.
Sanatan Fiji distributed the items to 17 of its affiliates in the Central Division –  Sanatan schools, women’s clubs, brahman sabhas, youth groups and ramayana mandalis.

“I hope these instruments will further strengthen the activities of the recipients in religious programmes,” the high commissioner said.
He revealed that the same would be done for other religious denominations in Fiji.
The national secretary of the Sanatan in Fiji, Vijendra Prakash thanked the government of India, its high commissioner in Fiji and the director of the Indian Cultural Centre for the occasion and donation.
