It’s that time of the year again, where the two security forces in the country prepare to battle it out for the prestigious Ratu Sukuna Bowl.
Preparations for the upcoming challenge, has started as the Police rugby team marched into camp on Tuesday.
Fifteen players were from the Western Division and they consist mostly of the Nadroga rugby players like Mosese Volavola, Setefano Somoca, Jonetani Ratu, Jonetani Ralulu and Iliesa Ratuva.
Among the players who are expected to report to camp late was Special Constable Apisalome Waqatabu who was a member of the victorious Digicel Fiji 7s team from the Gold Coast Sevens.
The other players are part of the Fiji Warriors team currently playing in Tonga.
Divisional trainer Special Constable Joeli Maraiwai said the players were eager to show their worth after they were selected in the final squad.
“The boys are going to go through a vigorous training programme where they will be tested and only the best men will be selected to represent Police on final day,” he said.
The Ratu Sukuna Bowl challenge will be held on December 7 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
