The Fiji Police Force regrets any inconvenience caused during the appearance of the Police officers to stop the meeting between Fiji Trades Union Congress officials and executives of PAFCO on Saturday.
Chief Operations Officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu says it was a case of miscommunication.
“Our officers in Levuka acted on a report lodged in Suva regarding the meeting”.
“Following consultations with the Commissioner of Police we instructed our officers to allow the meeting to continue as the case had nothing to do with the meeting that was being held.”
ACP Tudravu confirmed that the meeting continued shortly after.
