Students of Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) and Suva Grammar School (SGS) held a reconciliation ceremony at Flagstaff on Thursday afternoon in a bid to ease tensions between the two schools that have erupted into brawls between students in the past few weeks.

SGS students walked all the way from Nasese to Lambert Hall for the event.

Marist principal John Atalifo said he was glad it was over and hoped that the reconciliation was just not something for show, but that students now understood the concerns of the nation.

Suva Grammar School Ex-Students Association trustee Selina Kuruleca said the turnout was very good, and the process was a very humbling experience for everyone present.
