Indian newspaper expert Jai Kumar Sharma conducts training in Suva yesterday.
With him are Fiji Sun elections editor Rosi Doviverata (left) and managing editor/business Rachna Lal.

Mr Sharma has been brought to Suva for a week by the Fiji Sun to run training to help the continuing development of the daily newspaper.
Mr Sharma has held senior positions on such leading Indian newspapers as the Times of India and the Economic Times.

Fiji Sun publisher/CEO Peter Lomas said: “India’s newspapers are right up there amongst the biggest and the very best in the world. We’re delighted to have someone of Mr Sharma’s outstanding calibre help the continuing development of our team. We’re planning to get more training help from India.

“At the same time our general manager/publications Leone Cabenatabua is leaving for New Delhi to do a diploma in development journalism at the Indian Institute for Mass Communication. And four of our young journalists are now doing degree studies in India through support from the Indian Government.”
