This was revealed during the pre-Diwali cocktail hosted by the Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) at the new Maikana Café in Nadi on Monday night.
Chamber president Dr Ram Raju said this year’s celebrations will be the best ever.
The theme this year is, “Diwali Symbol of Unity, Victory, Light and Joy.” The celebrations will be held at Koroivolu Park in Nadi from October 31 to November 2.
Dr Raju said the organising committee would also be planning to erect a twenty five metre long and twelve metre high façade as a grand entrance.
A 20-member dance group from India will add spice to the celebrations with the local Masti group, Tulsi group, Fiji National University students, Crib clubs, and the fire dance by the VOU dance group expected to make it a night to remember.
The National Diwali Festival of Lights chairman Peter Nair said it will be a family affair treat.
The sponsors for the event include Nadi Town Council, Aqua Pacific, City Forex, Tourism Fiji, PVV Rental, Grand Melanesian, Info System, Forest Supplies, Property Experts, Real Forex, RC Manubhai, CIF Construction, SPR, BBC Sweets, UAE Exchange, Events Planner and Consultants, The Jet and Fiji Sun.
