NEXT IN
LABOUR
Seems like some within the Fiji Labour Party have woken up to the fact that they do not have any heir apparent to take the party forward in case the leader retires or cannot contest for some reason.
The one who was thought to be being groomed seems to have settled in the faraway land.

PARTY
POLITICS
The seemingly “new” People’s Democratic Party has gone the Labour way with all the old internal bickering. With the forward thinking Nirmal Singh’s departure, one can merely speculate whose interests the party will serve.

GUESS
WHO?
Foreign-funded media survey by Akuila Yabaki’s Citizens Constitutional Forum is negative about the Fiji Sun.
That should be no surprise … strong influence in this work was apparently former Fiji Times editor Netani Rika.

MONEY
TALK
So, some $800 million was borrowed by the then SDL government in one year. The usual long-distance Government critics seem to be quiet regarding this.

MEDIA
MOVES
Watch for more changes in some of the news media and information lineups. Recruitment is going on in preparation for the general elections.
Serious money is now being offered by organisations which might not have previously invested seriously in training within their own.
