Another year. Another opportunity for businesses to prove and improve their excellence through taking part in the 2014 Fiji Business Excellence Awards programme.
The annual awards are organised by the Fiji National University’s National Training and Productivity Centre.
The whole programme is designed with the aim or improving productivity and quality in organisations and businesses.
Business excellence is seen as strengthening the management systems and processes of an organisation in a holistic and integrated manner.
This is to improve performance, increase productivity and growth and create value for stakeholders.
For a country such as ours experiencing economic growth, improved productivity in businesses can further enhance performance.
Vodafone Fiji, winner of the past year’s President’s Business Excellence Award, is a fine example of this fact.
Not only was Vodafone the winner in 2013, but also in 2004, 2007 and 2010.
Vodafone Fiji’s efforts have led to increased business in a highly competitive market. They are indicative of what is possible if companies and staff embrace excellence.
In order to create awareness on this, the National Training and Productivity Centre has organised Applicant Information Seminars. These are in  Suva, Labasa and Nadi in March.
This is an ideal opportunity for companies and organisations to be a part of the journey towards achieving excellence. Get on board.
