Naloto Methodist Circuit pastor, Reverend Savu Lakoenavuli, advised Naloto District School’s prefects last Thursday to understand their roles well.
The school, on the outskirts of Ba Town, inducted 28 school prefects and class monitors, including its headboy and headgirl.
The school’s assistant headteacher, Meli Seru, said Rev Lakoenavuli   reminded the 2014 leaders to be mindful of the roles they have been appointed to and carry out their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
“The prefects have been urged to do their duties well. They will be controlling classes in the absence of the class teachers and have to do things to the best of their abilities.
“Rev Lakoenavuli reminded the prefects that their responsibilities would be tough but they will need to conquer all challenges and produce positive results,” Mr Seru said.
The parents were reminded to support their children in their new roles since this role was huge for them. He said the prefects needed support from their families.
The school appointed Taveuni lad, Isaia William Naborisi, as its headboy. Lusiana Ratulevu is its headgirl.
