Heavy rain has been forecast for the Fiji Group over the next few days.

The National Weather Forecasting Centre (NWFC) in Nadi has issued a heavy rain alert for the whole of Fiji.
In a weather bulletin issued at 10.45am on Monday, the NWFC said a strong wind warning was now “in force for land areas of Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Kadavu, nearby smaller islands and the western half of Viti Levu”.
It says a trough of low pressure lies to the north of Fiji. A tropical depression is expected to develop to the west of Fiji and gradually move towards the group from Tuesday.
Associated active rain and cloud bands are expected to affect the country from Tuesday afternoon.
