Red Rock 7s reset dates

This weekend’s Red Rock 7s at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori has been postponed to next month.
Tournament co-ordinator Malakai Yamaivava said their two-day tournament has been moved to March 14-15 at the same venue because of the current bad weather.
“Because of the heavy rain, we have rescheduled the Red Rock 7s to March 14-15,” Yamaivava said.
“The park is heavy because of the rain and we do not want to take the risk of players getting injured. Bad weather will also affect players’ performance and that’s the reason we have called the tournament off.”
The tournament will now be held a week after the 38th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.
“A lot of top teams in the country had confirmed their participation like Police, Army and Tabadamu. We will also field our main team which returned from Australia this week. The main prize is $5000 and it will be a good tournament,” he said.
He said 32 teams would compete in their tournament.
