Rehana Rubeena Nisha Sen’s lawyer, Nemani Tuifagalele, last Friday informed the High Court in Suva that they were ready for trial.
Sen is charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption with one count of bribery.
FICAC’s lawyer informed the court that they had filed agreed facts and documents and they would be relying on the video-recorded caution interview of the accused. They will also be calling 10 witnesses.
They are alleging that Sen solicited an advantage from the complainant. The case has been adjourned to June 6.

Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili last Friday terminated court proceedings for Stefan Ali. This was after the divisional prosecutions officer southern, ASP Mohammed Yunus, informed the court that he was instructed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to file for a nolle prosequi in the case. Ali was charged with disorderly behaviour in a public place.
