The newly formed Suva Business House Football Association has revived businesshouse soccer through the initiation of their new league. The association which was formed early this year has seven members competing in the 2014 Businesshouse Soccer League.
The league starts on Saturday from 2.30pm at the USP grounds.
Teams like Vodafone, Device, USP, ANZ, J. S. Hill, Coca-Cola and FEA will play for top honours. The league will run for 14 weeks and two rounds of games will be played before an inaugural winner is decided. In the past such competition was played but was mostly in tournament formats.
“This new initiative will not only develop new relations on the field but also off the field. It is definitely an ideal way to create a sense of corporation and team bonding amongst the business organizations. We hope that this league will reap benefits for all the participating teams,” Association President Navneel Naidu said.
