Shoppers came out in numbers at the Republic of Cappuccino (ROC) market at the Dolphin Plaza in Suva yesterday.
Kamla Prasad of Cunningham Road, who expressed satisfaction over yesterday’s turnout, said the whole idea was to promote her home- made goods.
“I’ve been doing this business for four years now and it’s been quite successful,” Mrs Prasad said.
She said she was happy to see shoppers taking advantage of various homemade foods such as chicken curry, sausage and liver curry with puri, palau and pickles.
“I also make all kinds of tamarind chutney and mango pickles and it is fast selling.”
Mrs Prasad said the ROC market was also an opportunity for many upcoming business people to meet new clients and build contacts with other budding small business entrepreneurs.
