Salabogi Lakoenalagilagi and Petero Manoa will compete at the Noumea International Triathlon on April 27

This was confirmed by Fiji Triathlon executive Andrew Pene.
Lakoenalagilagi came second in the individual Olympic event during the third event of the 2014 Marco Polo Triathlon Series held last Saturday at Togalevu.
Tim Noble finished first with a time of 2hours 44 minutes 24seconds while Lakoenalagilagi was second with a time of 2: 48:48.
Pene said the tournament was a success. A total of 21 teams and 68 participants took part,w there were also newcomers to the competition which includes Mike Thon, Mark Ramsden, John Lowry, Brenda Lowry, Suleh Atchison, Team AusAid, Team USP M2, Team Wardens, Team Fire Authority and Team Digicel,” Pene said. The super sprint event which includes the 375m swim, 10km bike and 2.5 km run was won by Marist with a time of 46minuts 35seconds in the men’s category while International Secondary School won the women’s category with a time of 51:09minutes.
Marist also won the team Olympic event which includes the 1500m swim,40km bike and 10km run with a time of 3:19:0.
Pene acknowledges Navy Commander John Fox and the Navy team for hosting an enjoyable event and Anthony Powell and the Emergency Response team on standby. Newcomers AusAID finished in first place in the team sprint event for the womens division with USP second and Works team finished third place.
