KIRWAN SANDAY, JOHNNY KALAVATA AND MANASA ROKOSUKA FEATURED FOR EAST TIGERS OF BRISBANE

OSEA BOLA
SUVA
Three Fijians featured in the Australian Club Championships played between Sydney University and East Tigers of Brisbane over the weekend.
Sydney University, winners of the prestigious Shute Shield in the Sydney premier competition last year, won a tight-fought match 19–14 over the Brisbane 2013 premier grade champions.
The annual competition pits the winners of the two premier grade competitions in Sydney and Brisbane. Turning out for East Tigers were Fiji Under-20 rep to the Junior World Championships in 2010 and 2011, Kirwan Sanday at tight-head prop, Johnny Kalavata at No.8 and towering 2011 Australian Schoolboy lock, Manasa Rokosuka.
Kalavata barged his way over for one of East Tiger’s two tries.
Both Kalavata and Rokosuka played for Quade Cooper’s Souths team last year but were recruited to Easts this year by Mosese Rauluni, former Flying Fijians captain who was a former East player.
Sanday was one of five players for East Tigers who won last year’s Brisbane grand final against GPS Warriors which had current Reds players, Chris Nasiganiyavi, Samu Kerevi and Radike Samo.
